On College Admissions…

The college admissions issue is bigger than affirmative action and we should address its roots.

Have we forgotten the college admissions scandal? Rich, white families, desperate for their children to attend a prestigious top 10 university, committed fraud to get them accepted.

The top 10 schools have hyped their importance to attract grants and major donors in addition to outrageous fees .There is no evidence that they provide a superior education or guarantee successful careers.

The pressure to be admitted to these institutions harms all kids of all races; those that get in and those that don’t.
